I'm not sure about the wisdom of that - even with preferences set as above, it will leave you with a fair bit of unnecessary stuff in Plugins, and the resulting internal folder structure may not be optimal.Īs an example, I downloaded Install_CSX MEGA Props - Vol 04 from SC4Devotion. You can change this in the Results panel in Preferences, and I suppose you could theoretically set it to extract directly into your Plugins folder. In the post linked by there are suggestions for setting the preferences in File Juicer so it doesn't extract. It's pretty smart and in my opinion it's worth the small charge. After that's expired, you have to pay for a licence or it won't run.

Mac utilities like The Unarchiver and Pacifist are not intended to extract. It hasn't been updated since 2017 and there's no indication on the developer's website that it still works with macOS 10.15 Catalina. It launches under Catalina, but as far as I can see that's it. I've have a few tries with Wineskin and I can't make head nor tail of it. From my recent experience, File Juicer is the only way to go under Catalina if you want to extract S4C plugin files from Windows self-extracting.
